Acceptance of terms

By installing or using Secret Keeper you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not install or use the application.

What Secret Keeper is

Secret Keeper is a local encryption tool. It has no servers and no accounts: messages are created and decrypted only on user devices, and users deliver the encrypted envelopes themselves through channels of their choice. The developer has no access to the content of your messages and does not store it.

Acceptable use

There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You may not use Secret Keeper to create or distribute illegal content, to harass or threaten others, to produce or share child sexual abuse material, to send spam, or to infringe the rights of others. Violating these rules ends your right to use the application.

User content and responsibility

All content is created by users and encrypted on their devices; the developer never sees it. You are solely responsible for the content you create and share with Secret Keeper and for complying with the laws that apply to you.

Moderation tools

The app lets you block a sender: the conversation with them is hidden immediately and their new messages are no longer accepted. You can also report objectionable content to the developer at support@secretkeeper.net. Reports are reviewed and acted upon within 24 hours.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The application is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. The developer is not liable for data loss caused by a lost seed phrase, nor for the actions of users or the content they exchange.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
