The short version
Secret Keeper collects no data, because there is nowhere to send it: the app has no servers and requests no network access beyond what you explicitly do with your messages.
What the app stores
Contacts, message history and settings are stored only on your device, encrypted at rest and locked by your PIN or biometrics. The seed phrase is kept in the system secure storage (Keychain / Keystore). Nothing is uploaded anywhere by the app itself.
What the app never sees
There is no registration, so we hold no phone numbers, emails, names or user identifiers. Message delivery happens through channels you choose (messengers, email, files) - those channels see only encrypted envelopes.
Permissions
Camera is used to scan QR codes with addresses; microphone - to record voice messages. Both are processed locally and can be denied without breaking text messaging.
This website
The site is static, sets no cookies and runs no analytics or third-party scripts. The web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, requested page, time) for operational purposes only.
