Passkeys
A password that cannot be peeked at, because there is none.
-
Choose Secret Keeper as your passkey provider
In system settings: Android - “Passwords & accounts”, iOS/macOS - “Passwords”, the autofill section.
-
Create a passkey on a website
The site offers passwordless sign-in, you confirm with your PIN or biometrics. The key is saved in the Vault.
-
Sign in with one tap
The browser shows a QR code or a device picker, you choose Secret Keeper and confirm. There is no password, so there is nothing to phish.
Good to know
- Android 14+ is stable. iOS 17+ and macOS 14+ are in beta since version 1.1.4.
- A passkey is bound to the site’s domain: a look-alike site gets no confirmation.
- Passkeys are restored from the same 12 words as the rest of the Vault: a new phone does not lose them.
