Shoulders: Hillary Rodham Clinton’s Story

Meryl Streep is the narrator of this emotionally powerful short film.

To prepare, here are some of Meryl Streep’s remarks at the DNC Convention 2016:

“Nearly 100 years after women got the vote, you people have made history, and you’re gonna make history again in November. Because Hillary Clinton will be our first woman president.

And she will be a great president, and she will be the first in a long line of women. And men. Who serve with grit and grace. She’ll be the first, but she won’t be the last.

‘Maggie the Cat’ – Roars & Purrs

I must confess I have the Bern, but after listening and watching President Barack Obama speak at the DNC on Wednesday night 27th July 2016, His fire and the best speech I have ever heard him give or anyone give, not since Lincoln has a President spoke so fine. Barack has the effectiveness to help one evaluate just what is IMPORTANT. Bernie will still be our Senator from Vermont, and will help Hillary when asked and I am sure and hopeful she will work with Bernie toward continuing the revolution he started. I know now we who supported him have to look to Hillary Clinton to lead us in the future after the Obamas vacate the White House. It is imperative our future President needs desperately to be Hillary Clinton. She needs to be our leader and the leader for the Free world.

Watch this video; find Obama’s speech and listen carefully; observe the demagogue DT; think about what you want the future of the USA and the world to be. Do you want it to be free and moving forward creating beneficial change for the USA and the world? Or do you want to eat FEAR every moment knowing DT holds the codes to a Nuclear Holocaust in his tiny hands? It doesn’t matter to Trump. He probably has a luxurious bunker waiting, and the workers probably weren’t paid to build it. DT wants you to be on the edge of oblivion so he can do what? Absolutely Nothing. He has no plans. He wants the adulations not the work. In place of being the nominee for the ‘Republicans;’ he instead should be arrested for all the laws he’s broken and the fraud he’s committed; the incitement to riot; and for anything he has ever done to steal from the vulnerable and his insults to all who are not a member of his perfectly ugly club. He really thinks he’s above it all. I think it’s time to show him he is no more or less, maybe less, than the rest of us. It’s time for him to stop. Shut the F up and quietly slip back into the primordial slime he slithered out of.

Let’s move away from the Gila Monster with his poisonous aspects and true stories of sexually assaulting unsuspecting women while casting it aside as ‘locker room talk’. Girls and woman have been perceived by predators as easy prey for most of our lives. We are objects in the eyes of DT and the men like him. They must cease or be arrested and imprisoned for casting prisons around the women they assault and objectify. So lets move on. Enough of Dork The Orc. Now to something productive.

Senator Bernie Sanders and Secretary Hillary Clinton worked out the most Progressive Platform of any potential President to use to further change for good so all will benefit in all areas. I want to see the change initiated. Only Hillary Clinton will follow through to help the USA and the world become a more just place in which to live and thrive.

There were things said last night at the DNC [Convention] not known before about Hillary. In the short film ‘Shoulders,’ we find out about a life where encouragement for females was a ‘GOOD’ word. And she has and does so much good for the world, especially for the world’s women and children. She has strengthened and encouraged them to claim their right to be who they want to be and helps them to attain their goals. She will continue to do this.

She will continue to work for veterans and for everyone in the USA and the world, trying to bring the world together. To bring people up from the poverty level. Create jobs for the USA and spread the wealth throughout the world. Watch out 1%ers, your time has come to pay your full dues and back ones too. You will no longer be exempt.

This is the most Beautiful. Sweet. Amazing story of women showing the way to grow in the best way possible and to attain the freedom and recognition we deserve. We are as capable as men. We can do anything men can do. Women can be leaders. Women can be President of the United States of America. With Hillary Rodham Clinton in the White House, I feel we shall see change to follow what Barack Obama has already accomplished even though he was constantly being thwarted by a poor excuse for Republicans I have ever witnessed. The party of Lincoln would be ashamed to be associated with what they have become. What the present day excuse for Republicans is should just disappear into oblivion along with their con artist candidate, and never be heard from again. One can only hope.

We are heading into a new world. The election in November 2016 for the Presidency and for other essential members of the Congress, State and Federal, the Judges, the Sheriffs, and all other representatives. We need to VOTE. THIS ELECTION IS THE ELECTION WHICH WILL AFFECT WHO IS CHOSEN FOR THE SUPREME COURT. It is IMPORTANT who will name them. It’s a matter of human rights, women rights, LGBT rights, shutting down private prisons, free college tuition for state colleges; releasing those incarcerated who should be released for lack of committing any crime. So much more is at stake. FREEDOM FROM FEAR IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST AND RULING OUR OWN LIVES AND HAVING THE FREEDOM TO DO SO.

This is a story. A film which shows how a life is born and directions are taken leading to a special moment that will continue on hopefully in the direction many would like to see it go.

The Bern made this happen for me and many enthusiastic others. It is all part of the revolution. It lives on in us all who fight peacefully for the rights to LIFE, LIBERTY and the PURSUIT of HAPPINESS. We ALL MATTER and even if the Republicans won’t say it: #BLACKLIVES MATTER…I want to add #WOMENSLIVES MATTER. . .And thank you to all the Men who helped all women. Without your help we wouldn’t be where we are now. You supported our Power to be Strong and to move forward toward Equality.”

When you Watch this video, think of the following words:

“We say thank you to all the women who would not take no for an answer: You dreamers and schemers, you rabble rousers and hell raisers, you petticoat abolitionists, you chain-smoking pants wearing exhibitionists, you educators, agitators and aviators, you risk-takers, you rule breakers, maggie-the-cat-paw-print1you unlikely heroes.”

And now for the Short Film. Be prepared to be moved. Hillary Rodham Clinton is much more than we ever knew she was. She doesn’t beat her own drum, so we need to do it for her. – Maggie the Cat

An added treat, the song performed first at the DNC Convention titled: ‘Our Fight Song’… If the video on Hillary Rodham Clinton doesn’t get you than I am sure listening and watching ‘Our Fight Song’ will move you into a motion of excitement beyond your wildest Dreams. Be prepared to FLY.

Democratic National Convention – Our Fight Song
[a capella – all sounds are from performers]

“Fight Song,” produced by Elizabeth Banks, Bruce Cohen and Mike Thompkins, features actors, musicians and supporters singing their support for Hillary Clinton to Rachel Platten’s Fight Song. The a cappella video is inspired by the Pitch Perfect films, which are produced by Banks.

Will be posting at a later date on ‘the secret keeper’ & ‘Off the Rails – Track 451’ , a blog I share with my partner. The words and story need to be spread. It is important to take these images and song to your heart and feel it in your soul. Everything depends on change. We need it now. Filled with HOPE and absent from FEAR. Hillary Rodham Clinton is our Hope.

Fight Song

Like a small boat
On the ocean
Sending big waves
Into motion
Like how a single word
Can make a heart open
I might only have one match
But I can make an explosion

And all those things I didn’t say
Wrecking balls inside my brain
I will scream them loud tonight
Can you hear my voice this time?

This is my fight song
Take back my life song
Prove I’m alright song
My power’s turned on
Starting right now I’ll be strong
I’ll play my fight song
And I don’t really care if nobody else believes
‘Cause I’ve still got a lot of fight left in me

Losing friends and I’m chasing sleep
Everybody’s worried about me
In too deep
Say I’m in too deep (in too deep)
And it’s been two years
I miss my home
But there’s a fire burning in my bones
Still believe
Yeah, I still believe

And all those things I didn’t say
Wrecking balls inside my brain
I will scream them loud tonight
Can you hear my voice this time?

This is my fight song
Take back my life song
Prove I’m alright song
My power’s turned on
Starting right now I’ll be strong
I’ll play my fight song
And I don’t really care if nobody else believes
‘Cause I’ve still got a lot of fight left

It takes a village to raise a child
Prepare him to run the nation
We’ve got some hard choices
But together we’re going to make it
We’re living in history
America take a bow
We’re about to show the world
Women are equal now

Like a small boat
On the ocean
Sending big waves
Into motion
Like how a single word
Can make a heart open
I might only have one match
But I can make an explosion

This is my fight song (Hey!)
Take back my life song (Hey!)
Prove I’m alright song (Hey!)
My power’s turned on
Starting right now I’ll be strong (I’ll be strong)
I’ll play my fight song
And I don’t really care if nobody else believes
‘Cause I’ve still got a lot of fight left in me

No I’ve still got a lot of fight left in me

Off the Rails - Track 451

Labor Day –

Summer winds down. The nights grow a little longer and brisker, the air fills with the sweet scent of golden rod and apple. Labor Day is upon us. Over potato salad and various grilled goodies, we take a day to commemorate the long history of labor and unions in this country. In theory.

The reality is, the powers-that-be don’t really want us to think about labor on Labor Day. They especially don’t want us to think about the great impact unions have had on the people of this nation.

Couple that with the fact that people like Scott Walker and his Koch brother overlords are trying to roll all Union progress back to the Stone Age and Labor Day is one massive disconnect in the American psyche.

Today, there are generations of young people buying into the Unions-as-boogey-men-of-the-middle-class BS spewed by the GOP. (Especially the NEA –…

Apathy? Who Cares?

Apathy? Who Cares?

INTRO (D. King) You are now listening to Tha Truth [VIDEO FOLLOWS]

What’s the point of gettin out the ‘hood with sports or rap – going back seeing your friends in jail, dead, or on crack – it’s that constructive criticism I unleash – though they say only god can judge me not no person on the street – saying don’t judge others that you meet when you speak – I speak with love – don’t judge – I critique corrupt governments and police – up to us find peace – up to us rise above – find ideas to try and seek – like homeless people – they don’t really need the food we give ‘em – what the homeless really need is some freaking homes to live in – Carlin had some vision – a plan you can understand the mission to take wastes of land where golf courses is sitting and use it for the homeless so they can have homes arisen – it’s too much apathy – that means people only care if them and their family’s living happily – it’s sad to see – we actually don’t know that we’re one human family it’s profound – we’re all African ’cause Africa’s where the first man was found we have the same background – rewind that back again – all racists are African no matter the color or their faces we’re all one race that’s African – Boyz N the Hood was a movie in the beginning that said like I would – like you could

HOOK:
I see apathy is everywhere who is gonna care (x3)

One day it could be you who needs help from who cares It’s hypocrites saying they don’t dig hip hop’s rhythms – they don’t listen judging me ’cause of privilege and ageism – able-ism – heterosexism – look up the definition this system pits neighbors in competition – I got a vision of making a difference and sharing what we’re given – it’s something missing living with capitalism – bosses fire as many workers as they can and get rid of ‘em – they’d rather use machines then pay people so they can buy what they need – we believe people shouldn’t be rewarded for having greed – what’s that mean? that means money should never come before meeting human needs – being rich doesn’t impress me – you see it’s nothing special – it’s impressive to help the poor live on a better level – bosses paying minimum wage – acting like we slaves – we say how ’bout we enact them a maximum wage – ’cause in the richest country in the world we got to many poor people – a few people with too much we can’t trust to treat us equal ’cause under Republicans man exploits man – under Democrats it’s the opposite scam rewind that line two times to understand (oh you flipped it!)

They say heroes are crazy just for doing something nice – the crazy ones do nothing it ain’t right – we superheroes in real life – the world’s so evil we got real life superheroes in the night – watch the (Superheroes) documentary – you might join the fight – I wrote this verse in my rhyme quoting Albert Einstein – it was a crime in ’64 when Kitty Genovese died – stabbed to death – bystander effect – when people heard ‘em screaming it was a mess – instead of doing something they did nothing – 38 witnesses on the scene in Queens – in New York she was raped before she died by the thief – outside at 3 – late – she was only 28 10 years later same building Sandra Zahler faced a villain – just like Kitty they heard her screaming – didn’t try to stop the killing – it could be you, your cousin, your sister or your mother – do something – put yourself in the shoes of another no doubt – there’s a hero in you – let it out

People see someone in trouble – often ignoring it like they in a bubble – if you see a person – something bad’s gonna happen – gotta help, gotta help, gotta help help and take action! that’s the reaction we would want if we needed help without asking – can’t bypass a person in trouble and just pass ‘em – treat others the way you want to be treated with a passion
