A few critics comments I thought were unique . . .

“Nocturnal Animals” is, I think, a beautiful mess, but I might have to watch it again to be sure.” Moira MacDonald (Seattle Times)

“Trying to weigh this spellbinding film’s multifaceted carnage is a mesmerizing experience that requires as much soul-searching as detective work.”

“A chilling but at the same time healing story that elegantly shows the power of creation to sublimate our darkest desires.” Fausto Ponce

Crimson Peak

“In the aftermath of a family tragedy, an aspiring author is torn between love for her childhood friend and the temptation of a mysterious outsider. Trying to escape the ghosts of her past, she is swept away to a house that breathes, bleeds…and remembers.

Now the description above is intriguing and at the same time, it scares the shit out of me. I’ve seen the ads and this may be more fear than I may be willing to handle, at least alone, that is. If my partner is willing to watch with me, I may cover my eyes during the freakier moments or not. I’ve seen some pretty scary films. Most recent was with Daniel Radcliffe in “Lady In Black.” And I watched “The Grudge” and Freddie Krueger, plus the “Scream” trilogy. Somehow, “Crimson Peak” looks scarier than all of them put together. And, frankly, that scares me half to Death. Booooooo!
