Bohemian Rhapsody

Bohemian Rhapsody (2018)
Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury. Freddie defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound. They reach unparalleled success, but in an unexpected turn Freddie, surrounded by darker influences, shuns Queen in pursuit of his solo career. Having suffered greatly without the collaboration of Queen, Freddie manages to reunite with his bandmates just in time for Live Aid. While bravely facing a recent AIDS diagnosis, Freddie leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. Queen cements a legacy that continues to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day. Written by Twentieth Century Fox

Daphne Du Maurier | a love tribute

Daphne du Maurier, Writer, 1907 – 1989

I could fall in love with her now . this moment . looking into her eyes my heart calls as I fall into her eyes.

Not to mention she wrote Rebecca . The Birds . and much more . these just happen to be my favorites. If you want a touch of something more biographical I highly recommend the made for TV Film with Janet McTeer as Gertrude Lawrence (predominantly an actor on the stage) . Julie Andrews did a bio of Gertrude titled “Star” . The film I mean to mention is “Daphne” . Lead actor is Geraldine Somerville (played the Mother to Harry Potter . victim of Voldemort who also took Harry’s father.) Elizabeth McGovern (‘Downton Abbey’) is the wife of Daphne Du Maurier’s publisher . named Doubleday. they become friends . Daphne always wanted more. It’s a love story . filled with life till the end.

Look at her again . Look into her eyes . Daphne is beautiful and her story is hard and would be difficult to live through . but it gives one confidence . her creativity and her perseverance . stretching her imagination . getting around the sharp edges. One of the many brilliant female writers who need recognition . never to be forgot . there are some things we should never forget. – j.k

Romantic Scenes from ‘Daphne’ | Daphne Du Maurier & Gertrude Lawrence

You both give me so much. My life would be gone if I never found you. And an extra special thank you filled with love for Julie Andrews. Many different degrees of separation.

LGBTQ have always felt threatened but it felt like it was getting better. Unfortunately . we are starting to feel the threats again from those who should protect our Freedoms . Civil Rights . and Equality. Starting young is a great way to break the damage the world has done toward cultivating hatred toward those unlike the norm or ourselves if we are the right ourselves. I don’t fit in with any norms . never have . never will. The film creates the feeling of wanting Freedom to be Free for everyone. We need to #StopTheHate. We need to do it now. Every time we #StopTheHate the world gets a touch better. The healing needs to begin one moment at a time and the Time Is Now. – j.kiley

Video Appears on Off the Rails . Track 451 My partner discovered In a Heartbeat on YouTube & told me about her post. Not realizing it . I discovered In a Heartbeat the same day & decided I wanted to put it on ‘the secret keeper’ under the heading of ‘Haiku Review’ . writing a Haiku to draw out what I feel best describes the short film the viewer would see. Serendipitously . we were on the same psychic wave without even knowing we would end in the same place just half a day later. Cool. – j.kiley

Reblog | Something wonderful…. | Off the Rails-Track 451

A film where truth is allowed to become real. Thanks Shawn. More to come on this front in the future. Not for awhile yet.

Both straight and LGBTQ feel the exact same hesitation . the shyness when facing feelings of love. Violence is a part of LBGTQ reality. The threats are being reawakened into a frenzy with some of the recent months. Those who threaten are those who should protect out Freedoms . Civil Rights . and Equality. Starting young is a great way to break the damage the world has done toward cultivating a hatred toward those unlike the norm or ourselves if we are the right selves. I don’t fit in with any norms . never have . never will. The film creates thoughts of wanting Freedom to be Free for everyone. We need to #StopTheHate and start to learn to tolerate and accept the differences and sameness. – j.kiley
