Owen | short film

Length 13m 37s

Hellen lives on the streets with her aging dog, Owen. Her luck seems to change when an opportunity for housing comes her way, but Owen is not allowed to join her.

Really rips at you heart and your compassion & the injustice toward the homeless people as well as their animal companions. Be prepared to feel deep emotions and the torn feelings Owen’s companion Hellen feels. It’s an embarrassment to the supposedly just community of animal caretakers who bring your anger to the surface. Unfortunately, what they do is not uncommon. They look so caring on the surface but underneath they can be just as cold and callous as the rest of those who don’t care about the homeless whether human or beast. I know this with way too much personal experience when it comes to those who are suppose to care about animals in need. – j.k
