Baby Hold On | Dixie Chicks | a love song

Fell in love with this song today while I waited in the car alone. My partner was in a combo store in a rural town in the Green Mountains. She was shopping for a special treat.

In a short moment the song came on the stereo. It magically caught my ear. In that moment the music was a direct hit into my soul. It played many times before during our many drives in the country. But something inside me allowed it in this time. When my partner rejoined me . we got back on the road. I drew her attention to what I was listening to. I wanted her to repeat it. I absolutely love ‘Baby Hold On’. it holds a powerful significance.

For me . it is the most amazing discovery . a treasure . a love song. uplifting and healing. The Dixie Chicks carried me into another world.

There is a need to hear this song. It holds the power to take the listener to another level of hope . a higher connection with love . for me . it opens up the way to let love in again. I feel it all to the core. – j.kiley [14th November 2017]

Baby Hold On | Dixie Chicks

Hey, it might never be the same
We might never live those days gone by
But we can try
Good morning
Let’s kick the babies out of bed
How ’bout you and me, instead hanging on
Not up and gone
Let’s start this over
(Baby, hold on)
We’re not much older now
(Baby, hold on)
If you still see what I see
Keep holding on
Hold on to me
Baby, it’s good to see you smile again
I know we can’t escape
So let’s pretend
We’re someplace else
It’s a new day
Let’s look at all we’ve got
It’s everything we thought
We ever wanted
It’s beautiful
Let’s start this over
(Baby, hold on)
We’re not much older now
(Baby, hold on)
If you still see what I see
Keep holding on
Hold on to me
I look across the room and catch you staring at me
And see the love we almost left behind
So lead me by the hand, and let’s make up
Let’s make up for lost time
Let’s start this over
(Baby, hold on)
We’re not much older
(Baby, hold on)
If you still see what I see
Keep holding on
Hold on to me
(Baby, hold on)
Just hold on to me
(Baby, hold on)
Hold on to me
Keep holding on
Hey, it might never be the same
We might never live those days gone by
But we can try
