Variations on a Line #8 | Purging the Darkness

Purging the Darkness
by j.kiley

hell of a way to start
not being wanted
used as a sexual slave
and a body to blame

if there could be more
find it . search until
one day she appears
opening a door

standing there . not alone
backing off . respectful
I knew she was everywhere
Her heart beat loudly

across the room
the sound mumbled the air
my eyes viewed her
unaware . wanting her to know

happy endings don’t end
remain directed
follow the magic
the dream is happening
