Romantic Notions

romantic notions—physical motions
what is happening—a deeper attraction
avoiding the message—a chemical reaction
reversing love—perverting devotions
sexual arousal—converting emotions
a state of being—a point of rejections
exerting love—sharing an intersection
denying feelings—weren’t in my defections
with this special person—leaving destroyed my affections
with an emotional break down—i was crushed in deflection

she’s near her return—perspective needs reflection
in respect there will be—no restrictions from exceptions
will rules of our own—freedom of our expressions
choosing contact or not—attempting some corrections
to reach out to her—will there be love and attention
will we still be friends—i’m in love with the perception
am i feeling the love—in love with once my obsession
all relevancy in question—my muse with her inspiration
in a mature capacity—love will mix with true affection
seeing love in the mix—pure love pure perfection

i seek out the truth—with no sexual connection
emotional love—a spiritual trisection
feeling emotions of love—sharing its confection
the inspirational side—i need that introspection
i dont know what to do—do i call-make a selection
would like to see how—we can share a reconnection
will we still care—will our love pass inspection
though time has now passed—we moved through a resection

since she’s been gone—others filled my selections
so my romantic notion—would have been love’s blind devotion
only without benefits—related to physical sexual loving protection
my real romance—strictly passion without sexual contraction
arousing feelings no action—even if sexual attraction
within the perimeters—of what will be the expiration

  1. “Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us… We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the…light…that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” ~Marianne Williamson, ~ “Return to Love: Reflections on the Principles of “A Course in Miracles”

    • It has polarized me into inaction i fear that’s my reaction. As the Stones say I won’t get no satisfaction. And I don’t think there is any attraction from me or from her so i might as well send out a retraction to my heart so it can retreat from an abstraction or an obsessive cardiac contraction. That could be fatal to any reflection if one thought Narcisstically there would be a seduction. So the rhyme is over. It’s time to find a four leaf clover and wish for sunshine on the White Cliffs of Dover and a rainbow in the sky over the sea. That’s enough for me. Don’t you see. It’s me coming to some senses. I’m going to start putting up my defenses and stop this silly game and not put up picket fences. Our house is blue and grey and in May will change its colours to something deepest red or stay greyish blue as it almost is already I have no reason why but this post makes me want to rhyme.
