how enchanted a place
at the end of the drive
what will it lead to
will we all be surprised
look up at the moon
filling most all of the sky
with a tree in the foreground
dancing branches so high
it’s peaceful and quiet
no sign of a soul
it is so close to midnight
no one is quite bold.
if there is a story
that anyone knows
it’s time to start telling
the story that’s old.
the house it is haunted
they come out once a year
tonight is that night
that every soul should feel fear
so beware of the spirits
that wander this night
they just might come out and get you
or at least cause you a fright
so be very very careful
when you go out tonight
the moon won’t protect you
your friends are too scared
you’re out on your own
hope you make until the end
the shadows are following
they hide out of your view
so don’t look behind you
because they are right
in front of you
so take in a deep breath
scream as loud as you can
maybe you’ll scare them
as they can scare you
so once they are startled
just take off start running
far away from their view
save yourself from their touch
your friends they can’t save you
you’re all on your own now
that’s the end i am sorry
so good luck and so long
i hope you make it through…
